There are three different obverses and two different reverses issued for the guinea of the Anne reign.
Coins with VIGO below bust indicate that they were struck using gold captured from Spanish ships at Vigo bay.
The obverse and reverses were probably by John Croker.

1705 saw the Treaty of Union between Scotland
and England. So instead of having separate shields
the shields of Scotland and england were merged.
