ANNE GUINEA
1702-1714
Anne Guinea 1702-1707
(Obverse 1, Reverse 1)
Position of VIGO
There are three different obverses and two different
reverses issued for the guinea of the Anne reign.

Coins with VIGO below bust indicate that they were struck
using gold captured from Spanish ships at Vigo bay.

The obverse and reverses were probably by John Croker.
Anne Guinea 1707 & 1708
(Obverse 1, Reverse 2)
1705 saw the Treaty of Union between Scotland
and England. So instead of having separate shields
