A long awaited reprint of this bible for the bronze coinage from
1860 to 1967.

This book is illustrated nicely with black and white pictures. It also
features a revised price guide by Michael Gouby, although please
bear in mind the price guide is from 2006 and most coins have
gone up in value since then. A useful guide non the less.

Not only are all currency bronze coins up to 1967 listed, it also
features patterns and rarity guide.
The Bronze Coinage Of Great Britain
Michael J. Freeman
The rarity guide is very useful for gauging
an estimated rarity of the different varieties
featured.

A lot of dealers and auction houses list
coins by their Freeman varieties and
numbers.

Interestingly once had in his collection over
60,000 Victorian pennies and devoted
more then 35 years of his life to the study
of bronze coins.

I have rated this book 4 1/2 stars, however
if you collect or plan on collecting bronze
coins it would be a 5 star must have
purchase.

Conclusion:

Although this book won't be used by all collectors, it is an essential guide for collectors of British
bronze coins. I my self don't collect bronze coins but thanks to this book have been able to find some
scarce varieties to sell on for a profit which more than paid for the price of the book.
