George II was born on 10th of November 1683.
He became King in 1727 succeeding his father George I.
George II was keen on the army. He was the last British King to command troops in
the field (against the French in 1743). He also won the war against the Scots and
Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746.
He married Caroline of Anspach in 1705, whom he loved very much. They had three
sons and five daughters. George the II hated his father George I. His first born son
Frederick, Prince of Wales, also hated him. Fredrick died in 1751.
George II was succeeded by his grandson George III.
