The George III silver 1, 2, 3 and 4 penny's were all issued for use as currency coins. There was a total of three different obverses and four different reverses issued for the silver 1-4 pence coins for the George III reign. This third obverse and fourth reverse was by Benedetto Pistrucci. He placed the date on the obverse instead of the reverse. 1800-1820 Silver 1 penny, 0.5 grams, 11mm Diameter. 1800-1820 Silver 2 pence, 1 grams, 13mm Diameter. 1800-1820 Silver 3 pence, 1.4 grams, 16mm Diameter. 1800-1820 Silver 4 pence, 1.8 grams, 18mm Diameter. |
