George IV half sovereign is a great and varied issue to collect.
There were two different obverses and three different reverses
used in the seven years of production. It is however expensive to
obtain specimens in higher grades, especially the 1821 half
sovereign as it was withdrawn due to its similar design to the
sixpence of the same year.

The first obverse was by Benedetto Pistrucci.
The second obverse was designed by William Wyon,

All three separate reverses were designed by Jean Baptiste Merlen.
